Executive functioning is like the brain’s “air traffic control system.” It helps kids manage their thoughts, actions, and emotions so they can stay organized, pay attention, control impulses, and get things done. These skills include planning, remembering instructions, shifting between tasks, and managing time.
Each coaching program is personalized to support your child’s unique needs. Coaching isn’t a quick fix—it takes time, practice, and consistency to build lasting skills. I recommend a weekly one-on-one session with your child, along with a shorter bi-weekly check-in with you to review progress, answer questions, and make adjustments together. Sessions can be held in-person or virtually, based on what works best for your family.
Insurance does not pay for executive functioning coaching since it’s considered an elective service, but some families have found other ways to help cover the cost.
FSA/HSA funds: Some families are able to use their Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) for coaching. Check with your provider to see if this applies to you.
529 Plan funds: In some cases, families have also used 529 College Savings Plans to support coaching. Contact your provider to learn more.
Initial Consultation | $50
Includes a 30 minute information gathering meeting (virtual or in-person). This is a structured conversation where I hear your concerns and questions, provide an overview of EF Coaching, and initial suggestions for how to best move forward. Should you want to pursue more in-depth guidance there are additional options. The initial consultation fee will be applied to any package selected below.
One-Time Roadmap | $350
Building on our discussion during the initial consultation, I will define goals and action steps for your child to address their strengths and needs. This includes resources, a progress monitoring plan, and thorough explanation of the strategies we will use.
Student Coaching Sessions | $180 per hour
If you choose to continue working with me after receiving the roadmap, we’ll agree together on a clear timeline and final cost based on your child’s needs. This typically consists of 45 minutes per week with your child and a 15 minute update/debrief session with you. Younger students may benefit from shorter, more frequent sessions throughout the week. Older students may have more success with longer 1:1 sessions.

In most cases, insurance does not cover special education advocacy fees. Advocacy services—like IEP support, coaching, or attending school meetings—are considered elective or educational services rather than medical treatments, so insurance companies typically don’t provide coverage or billing codes for them.
Some families have explored alternative ways to pay for advocacy services, such as:

IEP Services
Document Review & Recommendations | $350
I review any applicable documents (IEP, evaluations, behavior plans, report cards/progress reports, etc.) and provide a comprehensive written summary which includes areas of concern and recommendations for parent next steps. This is ideal for families looking for an expert’s insight and ideas.
Strategy Session & Document Review | $500
This option Includes everything listed above and a 60-minute meeting (virtual or in-person) to review findings and create an advocacy plan. The advocacy plan contains tailored scripts/questions for use in the IEP meeting. We will thoroughly discuss these so that you feel empowered and prepared at the meeting. A summary email follows this meeting for you to review as needed. This option works for families facing a challenging IEP meeting or seeking new services but want to act independently.
Full IEP Meeting Prep & Representation | $800
In this offering I provide all services listed above and attendance at one virtual IEP meeting (up to 3 hours). I will monitor all procedural safeguards to ensure federal and state compliance, hold a post-meeting debrief (up to 30 minutes), and a written summary with next-step recommendations.This is for families who want a higher level of support from an advocate before, during, and after the meeting.
504 Services
504 Meeting Document Review & Recommendations | $250
I review any applicable documents (504, evaluations, behavior plans, report cards/progress reports, etc.) and provide a comprehensive written summary which includes areas of concern and recommendations for parent next steps. This is ideal for families looking for an expert’s insight and ideas.
Full 504 Meeting Prep & Representation | $450
This option includes everything mentioned above and attendance at one virtual 504 meeting (up to 1.5 hours), a post-meeting debrief (up to 30 minutes), and a written summary with next-step recommendations. This is for families who want a higher level of support from an advocate before, during, and after the meeting.
